Creative Marketing Associate
Reports to: Associate Director, Marketing & Development

Summary
The Creative Marketing Associate is responsible to support the mission of the Arc/PDDC by overseeing visual brand integrity through creative production and implementation of all print, web and other electronic materials to support the marketing, communications, public relations and development efforts of the organization.
Position Responsibilities
Creative Marketing Associate
- Designs, maintains and updates the website and web content including the creation of custom graphics and use of photos. Responsible for the user experience and applications including navigation flow, layout of specific pages and creation of graphic elements. Handles materials from outside vendors to ensure consistency in design and message.
- Coordinates and promotes efforts to maintain and enforce the consistent use of brand identity and integrity internally and externally; monitors quality control of all print, web and other electronic materials.
- Creates and oversees maintenance of our media library of creative assets such photographs, brochure, manual and advertising images.
- Manages the design and production of the organization print and electronic newsletter.
- Works with marketing, communications, public relations, development and executive staff on all creative marketing and fundraising projects; designs, and creates letterhead, envelopes, presentations, labels, special event invitations, brochures, postcards, business cards, forms, manuals, reports, flyers, displays, signage, direct mail campaigns, ad layouts, etc.
- Sources, gets quotes, and manages deliverables from external vendors such as printers, video producers and photographers. Secures the best resources available that meet project objectives, budget and deadlines.
- Collaborates and forms strong partnerships with all internal organization stakeholders to provide design elements, templates, proofs and deliverables to meet tight deadlines and budgets. Accelerates budget and deadline problems to supervisor.
- Obtains supervisory approval for all internal creative production requests including special projects and initiatives. Follows organizational priorities.
- Manages the procurement of specialty advertising items and coordinates creative production projects such as labels, note card sales and order fulfillment.
- Photographs and video shoots organization events and activities on site and off site as requested; manages photo library for retrieval including image resizing and cropping and video editing.
- Assists with other integrated marketing and fundraising efforts and administrative duties as assigned, including organization, coordination and procurement of silent auction items for annual fundraising events.
- Develops and maintains relationships with all external stakeholders, donors, prospects, media contacts, and vendors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related discipline (art directing, advertising or marketing). A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in creative production including brand integrity, industry standard design and web-based publishing programs. Non-profit experience a plus.
- Clear criminal and child abuse history, medical and drug screen. Valid driver’s license.
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds; the ability to write and speak persuasively about the organization; work cooperatively and compassionately with staff, board members, program participants and other stakeholders.
- Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with the public. Must be flexible and able to handle evolving timelines and changing deadlines.
- Demonstrates the organization’s core competencies and solid customer service skills.
- Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Suite 4 including Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and InDesign in a pc environment; advanced proficiency in web-design and web technologies; proficient in MS Office Suite for Windows including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Ability to form and maintain effective partnerships with all stakeholders including solid collaborations with peers and associates throughout development process.
- Effective communication and problem solving skills with the ability to proactively address issues before escalation in a thoughtful, respectful manner.
- Requires self-direction, independence, excellent time management and organizational skills plus focused attention to detail including prioritization and quality control.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously; ability to work well under pressure including a flexible response to changing priorities, unplanned events or emergencies.
- Ability to convey creative concepts through visuals and verbal communication and prepare artwork and creative materials for release.
- Commitment to excellence in design and production in all print and electronic formats and excels in a fast paced, deadline-driven team atmosphere.
- Requires photography / video shooting and editing skills.
Physical environment/working conditions
