Paul Berenato
Board President of SpArc, Parent organization of The Arc/ PDDC
Paul W. Berenato, Sr. was born in Philadelphia, in 1935 and has remained active in the Philadelphia a tri-county area his entire life. Known and loved by many as a leader in his community.
Paul graduated West Philadelphia Catholic High School in 1953 and furthered his studies at St. Joseph’s college where he received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in 1957. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Marine Corps Office Candidate School at Quantico, VA and received his commission in December of 1957. He served a a s platoon leader and later as company commander with the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines on Okinawa. Subsequent to his tour of duty in Okinawa, Paul returned to the United States as commanding officer of the Infantry Training Regiment at Camp Geiger. He was discharged from active duty in December of 1960 and released from the Corps’ Reserves as a Captain in 1964.
Paul continued as a leader after becoming a part of the Philadelphia business community in 1961. He has served President of the Society of Plastic Electroplaters, The Philadelphia Association of Metal Finishers, and The Philadelphia American Electroplaters Society. His company, Acro Display, has grown under Paul’s leadership and honor and has become one of the largest manufacturers of metal and wood fixturing for retail store environments in the United States. Under Paul’s’ leadership, the company is currently operated by his three sons, Paul Jr., Stephen, and John.
Paul and his wife Marie currently reside in Newton Square, PA and are the proud parents of 5 children, 12 grandchildren and consider them as their true blessings in life.
