Watermark at Logan Square Gallery Hosts Art Exhibit
The Cultural Arts Center mounted an exhibit of paintings by people with developmental disabilities in the Watermark at Logan Square Gallery.
Eleanor Elkin, a resident of Watermark, and a founding member some 60 years ago of The Arc of Bucks County, arranged for this third show at Watermark in the past eight years.
Mrs. Elkin, whose late son Richard had developmental disabilities, was impressed with the work she would see clients at PDDC create in the Arc facility in North Philadelphia, and she wanted to expose the paintings to a larger audience.
Katharine Healy, associate director of the Cultural Arts Center, arranged to transport the works of art so that the larger community could enjoy the work of these artists. Go to CULTURAL ARTS CENTER BLOG for more photos of the exhibit.
Included in the exhibit were paintings, drawings and prints by artists including George Waddell, Frederick Williams, David Neisser, Dwayne Boone, Pietro Rinaldi, and Charlene Richards.
