BELLA VISTA RESIDENT LEADS MURAL PAINTING GROUP AT THE ARC
Martin Luther King Day of Service at the Arc of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Developmental Disabilities Services resulted in not just a clean-up and painting campaign, but in a beautiful new mural in the Training Center. More than 100 volunteers from McNeil Pharmaceuticals, St. Joseph's University, and the community spent the day cleaning and painting the facility.
Staff member Brenda Tingstrom, of Bella Vista, enlisted her artist friends to create the wall mural with giant orange flowers to brighten the huge space in the Training Center.
Seen here are (left to right) are Grace Sheahan, of center city; Tingstrom; Wendy Fuglestad, Education Coordinator of the Clay Studio; and Yuko Sakata, of Fairmount, the Intergenerationsl Program Coordinator from SEAMMAC (Southeast Asian Mutal Assistant Associations Coalition ).
