Donovan McNabb Takes Part in Arc/PDDC Online Fundraiser
Though the four excited young boys who got to meet Donovan McNabb last Monday were probably thinking only of football, they may not have realized they were supporting people with developmental disabilities too.
Donating his time as part of the Arc of Philadelphia/PDDC’s annual CharityBuzz.com fundraiser, Donovan McNabb met the four boys outside of the Nova Care Complex in South Philadelphia.
The chance to meet Donovan McNabb was one of dozens of hard-to-find items that the Arc of Philadelphia/PDDC made available this year. Other items included Steeler / Eagles sideline passes, a chance to meet Paula Dean in person, and passes to the New York City Food and Wine Festival. All proceeds support programs benefiting people with developmental disabilities. This was the second year that the Arc of Philadelphia/PDDC participated in CharityBuzz.com.
The winning bid for this item came from LeAnn Aliciea from Northern New Jersey, who thought this would be a unique experience for her brothers and cousin.
Stepping out of his car, he greeted the boys with a big smile. “I love kids,” said McNabb. “We are going to have a great time today with these guys. I am glad I was able to support the Arc of Philadelphia/PDDC auction.”
It was a day LeAnn Aliciea and her family will never forget— thanks to the generosity of Donovan McNabb.
