Board Member Accepts Appointment
Arc/PDDC Board president Ken Oakes was sworn in as a member of the Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities by Judge Dan Anders. He was appointed by Gov. Ed Rendell.
Judge Anders of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Advisory Committee is charged with representing the needs of hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children with disabilities and their families, and in making recommendations to the Governor and the Cabinet Members who have oversight of programs and services that benefit people with disabilities.
Ken Oakes has worked in the field of developmental disabilities for nearly 38 years . "I am very proud and honored to represent citizens of Philadelphia and Commonwealth on this very important body. I look forward to the work, and will make every effort to seek input from my fellow Philadelphians and share information with them."
